Sleepy Hollow Residence, Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia

The space was cleared of mature evergreens to create an outdoor living area for the parents with a clear view of a new play area with padded turf for the little ones. (The kids couldn't quite wait until the turf was laid to jump in)

New cedar trellises create privacy while feeling connected to this beautiful, historic neighbourhood.

A new flagstone path along the side yard (under construction in this photo) leads to the backyard.

The walk along the new screen porch

Fragrant creepy thyme waiting to be planted in the cracks of this circular patio

Circular lawns and red flagstone patios form the structure of this landscape

This specimen Japanese maple was retained and replanted from the existing plantings

Chartreuse Hakonechloa and vivid burgundy Huechera will eventually drape the edge of this patio

Step stone paths provide access to what will soon be lush masses of brilliant perennials
